ÜLSERATİF KOLİTLİ OLGUDA DURAL SİNÜS TROMBOZUNA BAĞLI BİLATERAL TALAMİK İNFARKT

Dural venöz tromboz nadir görülen bir inme nedenidir. Özellikle bazal ganglionik yapıların venöz drenajı oldukça iyi olduğundan bu bölgenin venöz enfarktlarına sık rastlanmaz. İnflamatuar barsak hastalıkları (İBH- ülseratif kolit (UK) ve crohn hastalığı) arteriel ve venöz sistemde trombotik komplikasyonlara neden olabilir. Serebral ven trombozu bu hastalıkların ender bir komplikasyonudur, fakat fatal seyredebilir. Bu çok seyrek komplikasyonun, modern görüntüleme yöntemleri ile sanıldığından daha sık olduğu ortaya konmuştur. Biz dural ven trombozuna bağlı bilateral talamik infarkt gelişen ülseratif kolitli genç bir hasta rapor ettik.

BILATERAL THALAMIC INFARCTION DUE TO DURAL SINUS THROMBOSIS IN PATIENT WITH ULCERATIVE COLITIS

Dural sinus thrombosis is a rare cause of cerebral infarction. Particularly due to the sufficient venous drainage of the basal ganglia cerebral infarction of these regions is not seen very frequently. İnflammatory bowel diseases (IBDulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease) are associated with increased risk for thrombotic complications both in the arterial and venous system. Cerebral sinus thrombosis is a rare but potentially fatal consequence of these diseases. Modern imaging methods made this uncommon complication of IBD more frequently recognized. We report the case of a young patient with ulcerative colitis who suffered bilateral thalamic infarction due to venous sinus thrombosis.
