İnme Ünitesi: Genel ilkeler ve standartlar

İnme ünitesi akut iskemik ve hemorajik inmeli olgularda mortalite ve sakatlık oranlarını azaltan, yaşam kalitesini arttıran, ekonomik, kanıta dayalı yöntemlerle yararı güçlü bir şekilde gösterilmiş çağdaş bir yaklaşımdır. Bu yüzyılda inme ünitesi temeline dayanmayan akut inme tanı tedavi sisteminin başarılı olabileceği düşünülemez. İnme ünitesi primer ve kapsamlı inme merkezlerinin ana yapıtaşıdır. Bu makale Türkiye'de sağlık otoritesi ve hizmet sunucuları yanı sıra nörologların inme ünitesinin hizmete nasıl entegre edilerek çağdaşlaştırılacağı konusunda pratik yöntemler ve sistem önermektedir. Primer ve kapsamlı inme merkezi oluşturulacak olan hastanelerin bu makalede konulmuş olan inme ünitesi kalite metriklerini esas alması yararlıdır.

Stroke Unit: General principles and standards

Evidence-based medicinal methods have convincingly shown that stroke unit approach reduces mortality and disability rates, improves the quality of life and economic burden resulting from acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Any contemporary stroke system of care cannot be successful without putting the stroke unit concept in the center of its organization. Stroke units are the main elements of primary and comprehensive stroke centers. As a modernization process, this article focuses on practical issues and suggestions related to integration of the stroke unit approach to a regionally organized stroke system of care for perusal by not only national health authorities and service providers, but also neurologists. Stroke unit quality metrics revisited herein are of critical importance for hospitals establishing or renovating primary and comprehensive stroke centers.
